 Auburn University Graduate School is a high research activity institution, with several advanced research facilities in various disciplines. Auburn has more than 60 graduate departments and offers master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as eight graduate certificates. The institution specializes in technologies, sciences and engineering, and is considered one of the 40 best graduate schools in the country. There are 25,000 total students at the university and 4,000 in the graduate school, 1,000 of which are international. The city of Auburn is a small, friendly university town located on the beautiful plains of eastern Alabama, and was recently ranked one of the 10 best cities to live in America by U.S. News & World Report.
